Thirty years after its inauguration on May 2, 1991 by Queen Doña Sofia, the Teatro de la Maestranza celebrates that it reaches this milestone with a great journey behind it, but with all the illusion ahead. During the celebration of the 1992 World's World's Fair he hosted the first Orchestras from around the world and the greatest conductors, instrumental and vocal soloists, while magnificent lyrical productions by the hand of first Opera Houses such as the Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan of New York or the Staatsoper of Dresden and Vienna. In these 30 years it has without growing and being an essential point for lyrics.
Today Maestranza leads the cultural offer of Andalusia and is one of the reference spaces of the lyrics in Spain. Backed by audiences and critics, The Maestranza is a theater with modern technical equipment that has renewed its image and its offer to meet the growing demands of an audience experienced after some 3,000 shows that have summoned in Seville the best companies and artists of the national and international scene.
